The assignment involves providing technical, operational, and strategic support to the African Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP) and the Climate Action Window (CAW) within the Climate Change and Green Growth Department of the African Development Bank Group. The Climate Investment Specialist will support investment pipeline development, portfolio coordination, results monitoring, and donor reporting across adaptation, mitigation, and technical assistance operations; contribute to the design and operationalisation of innovative climate finance mechanisms, including private sector-oriented investments; and support coordination with internal Bank teams and external partners. The assignment aims to strengthen the quality, coherence, and impact of climate investments under AAAP and CAW, ensure alignment with the Bank’s climate finance objectives, and contribute to mobilising and deploying climate finance effectively to support resilient and inclusive growth in Africa.
