The main objectives of the fourth IRM review are to:
• Ensure that the IRM remains an effective recourse mechanism for people affected by a project or an operation funded by the AfDB and a useful accountability instrument to the Bank.
• Clarify ambiguities should the language in the current IRM Rules lead to divergent interpretations that affect implementation of the Rules.
• Revise or amend the present IRM Enabling Resolution and the IRM Operating Rules and Procedures, if necessary.
