The African Development Bank (AfDB) hereby invites Consulting Firms to express their interest in the following assignment: Consultancy Services for an Affordable Device Financing Vehicle as part of the Preparatory Studies of the D-VIBE Project.
At the request of the Federal Government of Nigeria the AfDB has been invited to support the design and finance the Digital Value Chain Infrastructure for Boosting Employment (D-VIBE) also referred to as Project BRIDGE. The project aims to expand Nigeria’s fiber backbone from 35,000 km to at least 125,000 km, making it Africa’s third-longest terrestrial network after Egypt and South Africa. This expansion will address the current shortfall in existing infrastructure which meets only one-third of national needs by extending coverage to underserved /unserved areas. By improving network resilience and service quality, the project will accelerate digital inclusion, enhance public service delivery, reduce gender and rural-urban gaps, and boost productivity in key sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and commerce.
